Description

The Afterburn H20 motorcycle jacket is the perfect example of a garment that mixes up the Sport and Urban genres to become the perfect everyday riding jacket. Its waterproofing comes via the Hydratex®|Mesh G-liner, while a detachable thermal liner allows riders to keep warm on colder days, or cooler on warmer days (when taken out, of course). CE-rated SEESMART™ armour comes standard at the shoulders and elbows, and can be upgraded by installing REV'IT!'s available CE-level 2 SEESOFT™ back protector insert. Multiple pockets allow riders to keep personal items close. Polyester Ripstop material and Airmesh panels.

  • SEESMART™ CE-level 1 protectors in shoulders and elbows
  • Prepared for SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 back protector insert - Type RV
  • High density 3L softshell outer shell, flexible and comfortable
  • Fixed Hydratex G-liner 100% waterproof and breathable
  • Removable hood
  • Removable thermal liner
  • Short connection zipper and jeans loops

This Review is after about 3 weeks of using the jacket in Auckland Winter. It has yet to see rain, only very cold temperatures.

The jacket is very comfortable and warm. at 178cm tall, the length of the sleeves goes right to the base of my wrist, and the elbow and shoulder armour sits perfectly in place. The cuffs on the sleeve are wide enough to go over the cuffs of my gloves and can be cinched to stay in place - I assume this will mean no water will get to the inside of the glove but hasn't been tested.

I have been using this to commute to work on urban streets, about 10km each way and I find it to be a great jacket, easy to get in and out of, warm, and connects to any revit pants - will update the review once tested in heavy rain. I don't think I would use it on motorway / open road speeds jsut because of the lower armour rating than my other jackets.
