Returns & Refund Policy
We want shopping online with City Honda to be easy. If you've ordered the wrong size, changed your mind, or the product isn't quite what you expected, eligible items can be returned within 30 days of the original order date.

Eligible For Return
We accept returns within 30 days of the original order date.
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
- Be unused and unworn
- Be in its original, resalable condition
- Have all original tags attached
- Include its original packaging
- Not have been installed, fitted or used
- Not be an item excluded from change-of-mind returns
Please take care when trying on clothing, helmets, footwear and other riding gear. Items showing signs of wear, use, damage, odour, marks or missing/damaged packaging may not be accepted.
$10 Restocking Fee
A $10 restocking fee applies to all returns and will be deducted from your refund.
This fee does not apply where the return is due to an error by City Honda or where a remedy is required under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for the cost of returning their items to City Honda.
We recommend using a tracked courier service and keeping your tracking details until your return has been processed.
Original shipping charges, where applicable, are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
How to Request a Return
Before sending anything back, please submit a return request through your City Honda customer account.
1. Sign in to your account
Sign in using the same email address you used to place your order. You'll receive a six-digit verification code by email to access your account.
2. Select your order
Open the order containing the item you would like to return.
3. Select the item(s)
If your order contains multiple items, select only the items you wish to return.
4. Select your return reason
Choose the reason that best describes your return and provide any relevant information.
5. Submit your return request
Click Request Return. Our team will review your request and contact you regarding its approval.
Please do not send an item back until your return request has been approved.
Sending Your Return
Once your return has been approved, please send your item within 14 days of approval to:

Please include your order number inside the parcel so our team can identify your return.
Items should be securely packed inside suitable outer packaging. Please do not attach courier labels or tape directly to retail packaging such as helmet boxes, boot boxes or product packaging.
If your item has not been sent within 14 days of approval, your return request may be cancelled and you may need to submit a new request.
Refunds
Once your return has been received, it will be inspected by our team.
If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method, less the $10 restocking fee for all returns.
Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account after we have processed it.
If you haven't received your refund after allowing sufficient processing time, please contact us at stores@cityhonda.co.nz.
Exchanges
We do not process exchanges for online orders.
If you need a different size, colour or product, please place a new order through our website and return the original item through our normal returns process.
We recommend placing your new order as soon as possible if the item is low in stock, rather than waiting for your return to be processed.
Items That Cannot Be Returned for Change of Mind
Some products cannot be returned for change of mind due to hygiene, safety, condition or resale requirements.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Clearance items
- Electrcal Items (Stators, Fuel Pumps, etc)
- Items that have been worn or used
- Items with removed tags
- Items with damaged, ripped or missing original packaging
- Items that have previously been installed or fitted
- Helmet padding
- Thermal layers and balaclavas
- Underwear and socks
- Earplugs
- Compression clothing and underlayers
- Certain protective equipment, including knee, wrist, chest and back protection
- Swimwear
- Other hygiene-sensitive products once opened
Please choose carefully when purchasing these products.
These exclusions apply to all returns and do not limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Clearance Items
Items marked CLEARANCE are final sale and cannot be returned for change of mind.
Clearance products remain covered by your applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Normal returns are different from returns involving products that are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
If you believe you've received a faulty, damaged or incorrect product, please contact our team before returning it so we can advise you on the appropriate next steps.
Products may need to be inspected by City Honda and/or the relevant New Zealand supplier before an appropriate remedy can be determined.
Our change-of-mind returns policy does not limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer law.
Returning an Online Order In Store
Online orders can also be brought into our Palmerston North store for an eligible return.
Please submit your online return request first and wait for approval before bringing your item into store. This ensures our team has your return details available and can process it correctly.
