All three models use virtual boundaries, which means there is no physical boundary wire to install around the edge of your lawn. Your mowing areas, schedules and temporary stay-out zones can instead be created and adjusted through the Automower® Connect app.

Husqvarna Automower® 308V: Best for Small to Medium Lawns
Designed for lawns up to 800m², the Automower 308V is a great middle-ground option for a typical residential property.
It is well suited to:
- Small to medium-sized residential lawns
- Busy households wanting to reduce weekly lawn maintenance
- Lawns with multiple mowing zones
- Properties where garden layouts may change over time
- Homeowners who want a patterned finish such as stripes or a checkerboard design
The Automower 308V uses its built-in camera to detect and avoid objects left on the lawn. Its AI vision also supports the satellite navigation system in areas where the satellite signal may be weaker.

Which Model Should You Choose?
Choose the Aspire R6V if you have a smaller residential lawn of up to 600m² and want a compact introduction to wire-free robotic mowing.
Choose the Automower 308V if you have a small to medium lawn of up to 800m² and want a balance of capacity, flexibility and intelligent features.
Choose the Automower 312V if you have a larger residential lawn of up to 1,200m² and want greater mowing capacity.
These area capacities apply when using systematic mowing patterns. Capacity is lower when using an irregular, carpet-like mowing pattern, so choosing a model based only on the total property size is not always enough.
Is a Wire-Free Automower Right for Your Property?
Wire-free installation makes it much easier to adjust the mower’s working area if you add a garden, change the landscaping or need to temporarily protect part of the lawn.
However, the mower needs a suitable satellite view and positioning connection. The standard setup requires stable Wi-Fi coverage across the lawn. Other connectivity options may be available if your Wi-Fi does not reach the entire mowing area.
